In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience while managing essential administrative functions. Your expertise in medical office procedures, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and patient service will help facilitate efficient clinic operations and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality patient care through exceptional front desk support and administrative excellence. Duties Greet patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and warmth, providing excellent customer service at all times Manage appointment scheduling using systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or Dentrix, ensuring accurate and timely patient flow Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and conduct insurance verification processes Handle multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages when necessary Maintain accurate medical records by updating EMR systems like eClinicalWorks or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, including care plans, medical coding (ICD-10, CPT), and billing information Assist with medical billing processes, including collection efforts and coding accuracy to optimize revenue cycles Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and maintaining organized medical records Skills Extensive experience with medical administrative support in a clinical setting, including front desk operations and office management Proficiency in EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, and medical billing procedures Familiarity with health information management standards including HIPAA compliance and documentation review processes Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately for Medicare and other insurance providers Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with office equipment such as multi-line phones and fax machines Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, documentation review, and office management tasks Outstanding patient service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred to ensure seamless integration into our team environment Join us in delivering exceptional healthcare experiences!
