Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. This vital role combines clinical duties with administrative support, ensuring seamless patient experiences from check-in to treatment. Whether working in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient settings, you'll be at the forefront of delivering compassionate, high-quality healthcare. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and documenting symptoms accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including explaining processes and ensuring comfort. Perform clinical tasks such as immunization, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) in accordance with safety protocols. Support physicians and healthcare providers with medical documentation. Manage medical office operations by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and coordinating referrals and others. Experience Demonstrated ability to administered vaccines (preferible), medication administration, and vital signs measurement. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation and electronic health records management. Experience working in fast-paced outpatient clinics or inpatient hospital settings with exposure to emergency medicine or trauma centers is highly desirable. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certifications if necessary. Comfortable working with infants, children, and adolescents Friendly, patient, and caring attitude with children and families Fluent in English and Spanish or Portuguese. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
