Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates to support diagnosis and treatment plans. Prepare examination rooms and assist during procedures by sterilizing equipment and ensuring a clean environment. Support medication administration under supervision and ensure proper documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Perform basic diagnostic tasks such as assisting with laboratory tests as required. Maintaining patient records with accuracy. Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, ICD coding, and physiology to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team. Qualifications Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program and certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) are preferred. Prior experience in outpatient clinics is highly desirable. Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and patient management is essential. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols is necessary for success in this role. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced settings. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including geriatrics.
