Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of medical procedures, strong patient service skills, and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems. You will play a vital role in ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality care delivery in both inpatient and outpatient environments. Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as medication administration, specimen collection, and basic life support during emergencies. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort. Operate and maintain medical equipment including X-ray machines when applicable, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Document patient information accurately in EHR systems using appropriate medical terminology and ICD coding. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards. Coordinate with administrative staff to schedule appointments and follow-up visits efficiently. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and safety standards. Experience Prior experience in medical office Knowledge of medical procedures, internal medicine practices, geriatrics, is advantageous. Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions is required. Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred; OR experience are a plus. Demonstrated understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, ICD coding, medication administration, and patient care protocols across diverse clinical settings is essential.
