Full Job Description Job Description:
Works under the clinical supervision of the practice physician(s) and office manager and is responsible for assisting the physicians in the practice. Communicates effectively with patients, physicians, co-workers and practice manager. Medical Assistant will schedule appointments, mange checkin/checkout of patients, and check insurances. Additionally, the MA will Assist in examination and treatment of patients, interview patients, measures vital signs (i.e.: pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts. Also draws and collects blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. Lastly, obtain prior authorization/referral for visit and or procedures.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent training or experience required.
  • Must have at least one of the following required licenses/certifications: (MA, CNA, LPN, EMT).
  • BLS required for all.
  • Must be professional, organized, and a detail-oriented team player with effective interpersonal communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
Bilingual preferred:
