Job Description

Bilingual Medical Assistant - Administrative & Clinical Primary Care Specialist of South Florida Primary Care Specialist of South Florida is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Bilingual Medical Assistant to join our growing primary care practice. Position Summary This is a hybrid administrative and clinical Medical Assistant position . The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with patients while also managing front-office and administrative responsibilities. This position requires travel to our Aventura location one day per week . Applicants must have reliable transportation and be comfortable working at that location as scheduled.
Monthly Travel Incentive:
A monthly gas card is provided to help offset travel expenses associated with working at our Aventura location. Because we are a growing practice, we are looking for someone who is flexible, organized, willing to learn, and interested in growing with our team. Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Support Welcome patients and provide professional, compassionate service. Obtain and document patient information and medical history. Assist with patient intake and triage according to established practice protocols. Obtain vital signs and prepare patients for provider visits. Perform blood draws/phlebotomy. Perform EKGs. Assist providers with examinations and procedures as appropriate. Coordinate laboratory testing, diagnostic studies, referrals, and follow-up activities as directed. Maintain examination rooms and clinical supplies. Administrative & Front Office Support Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments. Answer telephone calls and assist patients professionally and efficiently. Assist patients with registration and required documentation. Update and maintain accurate patient records in the EHR/EMR. Verify insurance information and assist with insurance-related administrative processes. Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and medical records as assigned. Communicate with pharmacies, laboratories, specialists, insurance companies, and other healthcare organizations as appropriate. Support day-to-day office operations. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and practice policies. Required Qualifications Fluent in English and Spanish — required Medical Assistant training and/or relevant Medical Assistant experience Phlebotomy/blood draw experience EKG experience Strong computer skills and ability to learn electronic medical record systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Professional and compassionate approach to patient care Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and willing to learn Ability to work independently and collaboratively Reliable transportation and ability to work at the Aventura location one day per week Employee Incentives Monthly gas card to assist with required travel to Aventura Opportunity to grow professionally as the practice expands Supportive, team-oriented work environment Opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as the practice grows Who We Are Looking For We want a team member who understands that every patient interaction matters .
