CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

Current and valid x-ray license Current and valid medical assistant certification Position Summary Performs x-ray/radiology services for patients of the health center as requested by the provider Prepares x-ray room and equipment, including sterile supplies, contrast materials and catheters, for patient Processes exposures using film processors or computer-generated methods Completes all documentation including medical charts as appropriate according to the medical records system and government regulations, including sexually transmitted diseases Cleans and sterilizes x-ray/radiology equipment Responsible for a variety of tasks assisting patients and providing basic in-take tests and services; assists providers with direct patient care as directed. Completes medical history, encounter and other required forms in preparation for examination. Collects and records patient vital signs (e.g., height, weight, blood pressure). Sets up room with necessary equipment and supplies as appropriate for procedure. Explains processes to patient; provides relevant materials to patient as appropriate. Completes all documentation including medical charts as appropriate according to the medical records system Reviews EHR schedule prior to the end of the shift, to establish needs for the next day Reviews HEDIS reports and addresses care gaps Monitors attestations and coordinates completion of process Conducts and follows-up on lab tests.
