Clinical Study Coordinator / Site Director About Galiz Research Galiz Research is a dedicated clinical research site specializing in central nervous system (CNS) studies, including Alzheimer's disease, dementia, major depressive disorder, and schizophrenia. As part of the Sensorium Clinical Research network, we partner with leading pharmaceutical sponsors to advance new treatments while providing our patients with a high standard of care and a supportive, community-rooted research experience. Position Summary The Medical Assistant supports the clinical research team in the day-to-day conduct of clinical trials. This role is responsible for direct patient care tasks, specimen collection and processing, and clinical documentation, all performed in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA regulations, and sponsor protocol requirements. Key Responsibilities Obtain and record vital signs, height, weight, and other clinical measurements per protocol Perform, process, label, and prepare lab specimens for shipment Conduct EKGs and other diagnostic procedures as required by study protocols Prepare and maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies Assist Principal Investigators and Sub-Investigators during patient visits and procedures Review and complete source documentation accurately and in a timely manner Enter and maintain patient data in the site's eSource Support patient scheduling, visit coordination, and reminder calls Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements at all times Assist with study drug accountability and storage logs as delegated Support recruitment efforts, including pre-screening calls, as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical environment Qualifications Studies in life sciences, nursing, or a related field preferred Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred Prior experience in clinical research or a healthcare setting strongly preferred Phlebotomy experience required or willingness to be trained Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-first mindset Ability to work effectively as part of a clinical team Must be authorized to work in the United States Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Equal Employment Opportunity Galiz Research is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
