Key Responsibilities:

Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and preparing patients for examinations Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support procedures Document patient encounters accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and maintain meticulous medical records Support physicians with procedures in outpatient, inpatient, or emergency settings, including OR and trauma center environments Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and medical administrative tasks to optimize clinic efficiency Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining confidentiality of patient information Assist with ICD coding, medical documentation, and billing processes to support accurate reimbursement Provide compassionate patient care tailored to diverse populations including geriatrics and trauma patients Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across hospital medicine, emergency medicine, and outpatient services Experience Candidates should possess a minimum of 6 months of medical office experience with demonstrated proficiency in clinical procedures and administrative support for a medical clinic. Prior experience in dermatology, is highly desirable. Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR systems), EMR (Electronic Medical Records), ICD coding standards, and pharmacology principles is essential. Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers or inpatient settings will be considered an asset. Required qualifications include certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail in medical documentation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
