Job Description

Clinicals:
Measures and records vital signs. Record patient history, and chief complaint. Medication verification, provide patient education with regards to medications. Prepare patients for examinations and performs routine screening tests. Assist physician with exams. Perform basic lab tests. Perform EKGs. Prepare and administer medications with physician authorization. Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures and other first aid procedures. Maintain supplies, equipment, stock and sterilize instruments. Answer phone calls from patients, physicians and facilities regarding clinical items. Send referrals (via fax or P2P) to providers as needed. Obtain Authorizations for procedures, imaging and medication when needed. Perform other position-related duties as assigned. Maintain a professional, cooperative relationship with physicians, co-workers and management.
Front Desk:
Greets all patients in a professional, friendly manner Answers phones within a maximum of 3 rings; schedule appointments Check-in and check out Verifies and scans insurance cards and drivers license Reviews patient benefits and eligibility at check-in and check-out Enters accurate patient demographic and financial information Runs insurance eligibility to ensure active Collects appropriate payments and balances owed by patients Enters payments into billing system Scans encounters/clinical/op-notes into the system Schedules follow up appointments Balances out end of day business (cash/check/cc) Generates daily batch reconciliation to be reviewed by Manager/Accountingr Ensures a neat/tidy waiting room
