Duties Perform patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Assist healthcare providers with dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and emergency medicine procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Collect specimens for laboratory testing such as phlebotomy and prepare samples according to protocol. Manage medical documentation accurately, including ICD coding, medication administration records, and detailed clinical notes. Support medical office management by scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, and coordinating patient flow efficiently. Provide patient service by answering questions, explaining treatment procedures, and ensuring a welcoming environment. Maintain compliance with basic life support (BLS) standards and assist in emergency situations within inpatient or outpatient settings. Requirements Proven experience in medical office settings with familiarity in EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation practices. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to outpatient and inpatient care. Hands-on experience with phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs collection, and ICD coding. Previous hospital experience or trauma center exposure (Level I or II trauma center preferred), including OR or inpatient experience. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications in emergency medicine or geriatrics are advantageous. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage medical records efficiently and support medical office operations seamlessly.
