This position works directly with the physician to deliver high-quality patient care in a professional and fast-paced spine and pain management setting. This role requires travel to additional office locations alongside the physician as scheduled.

Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for examination and treatment Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories Assist the physician with in-office procedures and treatments Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records Ensure exam rooms are properly stocked and organized Clean and sterilize reusable instruments and equipment after use Prepare sterile fields for minor surgical or in-office procedures Inform patients of surgery dates, pre-op instructions, and follow-up appointments Collect and prepare laboratory specimens Obtain prior authorizations for prescriptions Provide exceptional, compassionate patient care Travel with the physician to other clinic locations as needed

Qualifications:

Certified Medical Assistant preferred Must be CPR/BLS certified Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (pain management or orthopedic experience a plus) Knowledge of Workers' Compensation preferred Ability to accurately read and write medical terminology Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance requirements Experience with in-office procedures and surgical instrument sterilization Excellent computer skills, including use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Strong communication and organizational skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Professional demeanor and positive attitude
