Job Description
Medical Assistant We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in providing exceptional patient service, managing administrative tasks, and supporting clinical operations within a growing medical practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology. Front Desk Responsibilities Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with our patients in a kind, tactful and professional manner. Must have excellent telephone skills, be a team player, and work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to use the computer and have experience with Electronic Medical Records (training provided). Must have knowledge of medical terminology. Making appointments and checking in patients. Verifying Insurance coverage Collecting payments Securing referrals. Scanning. Collect patient payments at check in Maintain patient records and update necessary information in the system Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries or concerns Medical Assistant Essential Duties & Responsibilities Prepare patients for examinations, record vital signs, and document medical history. Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments. Administer immunizations and medications as directed by providers. Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and compliant with infection control standards. Support front office operations as needed to ensure smooth patient flow. Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR). Screen incoming calls for referral to practitioners. Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy needs. Preferably bilingual Spanish speaking but not required.
