About the Position Brevard Rheumatology & Arthritis Center is seeking an experienced and highly dependable Medical Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone who can confidently handle clinical responsibilities, work independently, stay organized in a busy specialty practice, and provide excellent patient care. This position is best suited for a Medical Assistant who already has strong clinical experience and understands the importance of accuracy, efficiency, communication, and teamwork in a medical office. Key Responsibilities Room patients efficiently and obtain accurate vital signs and medical histories Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Assist physicians and PAs with examinations and in-office procedures Administer injections and medications as directed and within scope of practice Assist with medication refills, pharmacy communication, and patient questions Complete accurate and timely EMR documentation Follow HIPAA and patient-safety procedures Communicate professionally with patients, providers and insurance companies Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of patient care Take initiative and assist with other clinical and office responsibilities when needed What We Expect From Our Medical Assistant We are looking for a strong, experienced Medical Assistant.
The ideal candidate will:
Have previous hands-on Medical Assistant experience Be confident performing routine clinical duties Be able to work independently with minimal supervision Be comfortable working in a busy medical office Understand the importance of accurate documentation and patient safety Be dependable, punctual, and accountable Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Be organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks Be comfortable learning new systems and workflows Take initiative rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done Work respectfully and professionally with physicians, providers, coworkers, and patients Be a team player who is willing to help wherever needed Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience preferred Specialty medical office experience preferred Rheumatology experience is a plus Experience with EMR systems Experience with injections and clinical procedures Experience with prior authorizations, referrals, medication refills, and specialty medications is a plus Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through dedicated care and support!
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
