Responsibilities Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) accurately. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to support clinical assessments. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process. Document clinical notes thoroughly, including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to ensure precise billing and recordkeeping. Manage medical supplies inventory, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean clinical environment in compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in diverse settings such as outpatient clinics, hospital units (including PICU), Geriatrics wards, or Level I/II trauma centers to deliver exceptional patient service. Qualifications Prior experience in a healthcare environment such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or emergency departments is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology to support accurate patient care. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications like X-ray operation or OR experience are a plus. Familiarity with EHR systems and ICD coding processes to ensure precise documentation. Experience working in specialized areas such as dermatology, urgent care, Geriatrics, or medical-surgical units is advantageous. Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service and team collaboration across inpatient and outpatient settings. Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments like Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers with emergency medicine demands.
