Up to $19.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Position Overview FastCare Urgent Care is seeking an experienced, dependable, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. We operate a busy urgent care center in Miami Beach and are looking for a team member who is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment while providing excellent patient care and supporting our medical providers. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, reliable, and able to efficiently manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a positive experience for our patients. As a Medical Assistant, you will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical staff, patients, and families.

Responsibilities include:

Room patients and prepare them for examination by the medical provider Obtain and accurately document vital signs, medical histories, medications, allergies, and other clinical information Enter patient information and clinical documentation into the EMR Prepare, clean, and maintain examination and treatment rooms Assist physicians and providers during examinations and procedures Administer injections and medications as directed by the provider and within scope of practice Perform or assist with procedures such as suture removal and wound care Collect laboratory specimens and properly label, log, and prepare specimens for testing Perform point-of-care testing as directed Clean and sterilize instruments and properly dispose of contaminated materials and medical waste Provide patients with instructions as directed by the treating provider Perform X-rays when appropriately licensed and requested Assist with additional clinical and administrative responsibilities as needed Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and patient-ready clinical environment Qualifications Previous Medical Assistant experience is preferred Urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, or other fast-paced outpatient experience is highly desirable Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is a plus Florida Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BMO) license is a plus, but not required Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus Strong communication and patient-service skills Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment Dependable, punctual, professional, and team-oriented Comfortable working directly with patients of all ages Reliable transportation and ability to travel to our Miami location. This is a full-time position . Candidates must have flexibility to work: Day and afternoon/evening shifts Weekdays Weekends Holidays Evening and weekend availability is required.
