Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care across diverse medical settings. In this role, you will support physicians and healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks that ensure smooth operations and outstanding patient experiences. Whether working in outpatient clinics, hospital environments, or specialized units, your expertise will help facilitate efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and compassionate care delivery. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates to support clinical assessments. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit. Support physicians with clinical tasks such as administering medications, performing basic X-ray imaging, and assisting with minor procedures in outpatient or inpatient settings. Maintain and update Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems with precise patient information, ICD coding for diagnoses, and treatment details. Support hospital medicine units or emergency departments by providing essential patient service functions in high-pressure situations like Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers. Ensure compliance with safety protocols including Basic Life Support (BLS) standards and assist in emergency response situations when needed. Manage medical supplies inventory, sterilize equipment, and prepare exam rooms for patient visits to uphold clinical hygiene standards. Requirements Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in settings such as dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units, urgent care centers, or outpatient clinics. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and medication administration procedures. Hands-on experience with EHR systems and familiarity with hospital environments including inpatient units like PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), Geriatrics wards, or Medical-Surgical floors. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications related to X-ray operation or OR experience are advantageous. Ability to perform clinical duties such as taking vital signs, assisting with intakes, supporting emergency medicine protocols, and working effectively within fast-paced hospital or outpatient settings. Strong communication skills focused on delivering excellent patient service while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Flexibility to work across various specialties including internal medicine, geriatrics, dermatology, or trauma centers—both outpatient and inpatient environments preferred.
