Job Description

MEDICAL ASSISTANT DUTIES
We are looking for a Medical Assistant who has the certification . As a Medical Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for our company directly working with our patients. Our Medical Assistant duties include clinical duties such as giving injections, conducting EKGs, conducting pap smears, and taking vitals. Additional duties include phlebotomy ( certification required ). Other duties include answering phone calls during office hours, reviewing exam results, and re-filling prescriptions. You will work alongside the doctor, relying any messages directly to them and assisting them with patients. To be successful as a Medical Assistant, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. Ultimately, a Medical Assistants duties and responsibilities are to ensure that the patient feels comfortable and attended. Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests and patients as soon as they arrive at the office Take patient vitals the day of their appointment Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls Ensure exam room area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and materials Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email Provide vaccinations and injections Review patient exam results such as (lab results, etc) Perform EKG's Perform pap smears Answer and talk directly with patient's pharmacies Send patient prescriptions Use EMR software to manage patient records and files phlebotomy (certification required) Skills Proven work experience as a Medical Assistant is required, Medical Assistant certification
IS REQUIRED
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Hands-on experience with office equipment (fax machines, printers, etc) Professional attitude and appearance Solid written and verbal communication skills MUST be Bilingual, MUST
SPEAK ENGLISH
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise Excellent organizational skills Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks Customer service attitude High school degree;
