Job Description
Bilingual Medical Assistant Job Description The Bilingual Medical Assistant performs a blend of clinical, administrative, and clerical duties in a fast-paced primary care setting to support providers and deliver high-quality patient care. This role helps patients feel at ease during their visit, prepares them for examinations, and clearly explains providers' instructions in both English and Spanish. The Medical Assistant works closely with physicians and the care team to ensure accurate documentation, efficient clinic flow, and an excellent patient experience. Responsibilities + Escort patients to exam rooms promptly and notify the provider when the patient is ready to be seen. + Participate in the morning huddle to ensure all laboratory and diagnostic test results are available in the patient chart prior to appointments. + Maintain exam rooms by ensuring they are appropriately stocked, clean, and ready for patient use. + Conduct initial patient intake, including confirming the reason for visit and symptoms, and obtaining vital signs such as weight, height, blood pressure, and temperature. + Verify and update all current medications, contact information, and medical allergies in the patient record. + Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with positioning, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort. + Collect and prepare laboratory specimens in accordance with clinical protocols and phlebotomy best practices. + Instruct patients on medications, special diets, and follow-up care as directed by the provider, ensuring understanding in both English and Spanish. + Transmit prescription refill requests as directed by the provider and follow established procedures. Essential Skills + High school diploma or equivalent. + Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish. + Approximately 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, with flexibility to consider less experience for candidates with a strong work ethic. + CPR certification or willingness to obtain CPR certification. + Ability to use electronic medical record systems and computer applications for data entry and documentation. + Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare staff. + Proficiency in basic medical terminology used in a primary care clinic.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miramar, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
