Job Description

Job description Bluewater Orthopedics is seeking full-time Medical Assistant. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing patients and ensuring that they have a positive experience during their office visit. This position will rotate between three facilities if needed.
Job Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares patients for evaluation and management by reviewing pertinent patient information including patient medication on each visit. Answering telephones, taking messages, returning calls to patients Prescription management Chart preparation, responding to referral requests. Takes patient histories and vital signs and documents into EMR system. Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary equipment/supplies for each patient's visit. Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization. Assists physicians and physician assistants Ensuring that patients have all tests/studies/documentation completed before seeing the medical provider. Work is of high demand, walking and standing. Casting and splinting Removing sutures, staples
Applying DME Requirements:
Must be willing and able to work assigned work schedule to specific to physician clinics. High School Diploma or GED required, Associate Degree in Medical Office Assistant or equivalent preferred Minimum of one year work experience medical office environment.
ATHENA EMR
experience preferred. Previous medical office experience. Computer skills for accurate data entry. Knowledge of basic medical terminology Professionalism, good work ethic and engaging team member. Please submit your resume with a cover letter describing your experience and salary expectations.
