Health insurance Paid time off Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Full time Medical Assistant to join our team! We are a busy Internal Medicine practice in the North Dade area with 2 providers, and we work with patients in the office and long term care facility settings. Responsibilities Greet and assist patients and visitors in both English and Spanish, ensuring a welcoming environment. Collect patient information, verify insurance details, and perform patient intake procedures accurately. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate to support clinical assessments. Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems by documenting patient interactions, updating records, and ensuring data accuracy. Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and coordinate referrals while maintaining clear communication with patients and providers. Support clinical staff with basic medical procedures including medication administration, specimen collection, EKGs, and injectable administration. Maintain a clean and organized desk area, manage phone calls, handle patient inquiries, and process administrative paperwork efficiently. Qualifications Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required; excellent communication skills in both languages are essential. Prior experience in a healthcare setting is necessary. Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions is helpful for success in this role. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting. 3 + years of previous experience in phlebotomy and lab processing is necessary. A strong work ethic and being a team player is a must. Ability to demonstrate professionalism, empathy, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent patient care.
