The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. The Medical Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility, supporting both patients and medical staff. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they enter the facility. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently, including verifying insurance information and collecting necessary documentation. Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals to specialists as needed. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations. Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate personnel. Assist with billing processes, including coding for services rendered and handling payment transactions. Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate patient care and ensure effective communication within the team. Stay informed about medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and relevant healthcare practices to assist in patient interactions. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy is essential for effective communication with healthcare professionals. Familiarity with basic life support principles and emergency medicine practices is preferred. Experience working with E-Clinical Works (ECW) and profiency in the software. Must be Billingual (English, Spanish, and/or Portugese) Proficiency in coding practices related to medical billing is desirable. Understanding of geriatrics care principles is beneficial for working with older patients. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on providing outstanding patient service.
