Your expertise will help streamline patient flow, manage medical records, and support clinical staff with essential procedures. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and manage appointment calendars efficiently Collect patient vital signs, and assist with intake procedures Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist providers on medical procedures Document medical histories, update medical records accurately, and ensure compliance with medical documentation standards including ICD coding and anatomy knowledge Support clinical staff with medication administration, basic pharmacology knowledge, and emergency procedures such as Basic Life Support (BLS) when necessary Manage administrative duties including answering phones, handling patient inquiries, managing insurance information, and maintaining organized medical records Skills Proven experience in medical office settings with strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR systems), EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and hospital information systems Ability to perform vital signs collection, intake assessments Knowledge of outpatient care processes, inpatient procedures Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and emergency medicine patients Strong organizational skills for managing medical documentation, ICD coding, medication records, and medical records management Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as urgent care clinics or hospital settings with inpatient experience preferred Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); additional certifications such as pharmacology or advanced medical assisting are advantageous Join us to be part of a dedicated team that values energetic professionalism and transparent communication.
