We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our multi-physician practice to provide clinical expertise and support to our patients. M ust have reliable transportation.

Duties include the following:

Provide overall support for Physicians and office operations. Prepares patients for examination and treatment. Takes patient histories and vital signs. Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments. Gives injections and assists with lab testing. Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization. Assists physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals. Assists with scheduling of tests and treatments. Screens telephone calls for referral to physician. Use of EHR so must have strong knowledge of EHR system, especially with Athena Perform EKGs Related keywords : medical assistant, healthcare Qualifications Proven experience in medical administrative support and patient care Proficient in EHR systems, specifically Athenahealth Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology Ability to perform basic life support and vital sign assessments Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including trauma centers Familiarity with dermatology and urgent care practices is a plus
