In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support across outpatient and inpatient settings, including dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, and emergency medicine environments. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate patient documentation, and compassionate service. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake procedures to ensure a seamless check-in process Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort throughout visits Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and minor treatments across various specialties including dermatology, internal medicine, and emergency medicine Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient histories, clinical notes, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), medication administration records, and treatment plans Support laboratory tasks such as collecting specimens or performing X-ray imaging when required in hospital or outpatient settings Provide medical administrative support by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and maintaining accurate medical records in compliance with privacy regulations Assist with inpatient care activities within hospital environments like Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers, including monitoring patient status and supporting medication administration Support clinical teams with basic physiology and anatomy knowledge to facilitate effective patient assessments and treatments Qualifications Proven experience or training in medical assisting within outpatient clinics or hospital environments; experience in dermatology, urgent care, or emergency medicine is highly valued Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration procedures Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and patient management Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations Previous hospital experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers enhances your candidacy; experience with X-ray or medical-surgical units is a plus Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric intensive care units (PICU) Ability to work effectively in fast-paced outpatient or inpatient settings such as internal medicine clinics or Geriatrics departments Join us to become a key part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to delivering exceptional patient care through professionalism, compassion, and technical excellence.
