Job Description

Busy Primary Care/Internal Medicine Office - In search of a Certified Medical Assistant to join our TEAM. Responsibilities This position will incorporate front office and clinical work as a Medical Assistant (supporting and backing up our other Medical Assistants). Some of the responsibilities will include; Experience dealing with insurance verification and pre-authorization Various Front desk/Check-out Duties Assisting the Providers with Excellent Medical Care Documenting verbal conversations and information into the patient record Maintain timely patient flow Returning calls to patients Triage Patients Perform Clinical office procedures as directed by the providers Scheduling and Confirming patient appointment _ _ •Requirements Current Certification as a Medical Assistant Previous Medical Experience Proficiency and interpersonal skills that will establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, their family members, and/or caretakers Ability to maintain a collaborative relationship within the workplace while following the chain of command and the established policies/procedures An upbeat personality with attention to detail is essential Capability and desire to competently handle a variety of duties Dependable Achievement-oriented - Striving for Excellence - Willingness to take on a challenge Prior experience with Athena (EHR) is highly desirable but we are willing to train the right person
