Position Summary:

This role is ideal for a highly organized, dependable, and patient-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting. The Medical Assistant will work closely with the physician to support patient care, assist with dermatologic procedures, and ensure efficient office operations.

Responsibilities:

Room patients and prepare them for examination Obtain and document medical histories and chief complaints Accurately document physical examinations, assessments, and treatment plans in the electronic medical record Assist the physician during dermatologic procedures, including: Skin biopsies Incision and drainage procedures Electrodessication and curettage Wound care and suture removal Prepare and electronically prescribe medications as directed Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms Sterilize medical instruments and follow infection-control protocols Triage patient phone calls and communicate professionally with patients Complete pathology and laboratory requisitions Communicate biopsy and culture results to patients and maintain pathology logs Assist with front office responsibilities as needed Perform additional duties to support patient care and office operations
