Job Description
Equity Staffing Group is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join a busy outpatient practice in Palm Harbor, FL . This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who enjoys working in a collaborative clinical environment while providing exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care procedures, including: Injections EKGs Phlebotomy/blood draws Other clinical procedures as needed Room patients and prepare them for examinations and treatments Record and process patient care documentation accurately and efficiently Coordinate patient care in accordance with physician direction and company policies Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record system Organize, clean, and stock exam and treatment rooms Sterilize instruments and maintain infection prevention standards Ensure quality control standards are consistently met Provide outstanding customer service while creating a positive patient experience Maintain required certifications and comply with all organizational and regulatory standards Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or registration, or the ability to obtain certification within 180 days of employment Current CPR and/or BLS certification, or the ability to obtain within 30 days of employment Phlebotomy experience and blood draw proficiency Knowledge of medical terminology Basic Microsoft Office proficiency Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills Professional demeanor and commitment to excellent patient care If you're a motivated Medical Assistant looking to join a supportive healthcare team and make a difference in patients' lives every day, we'd love to hear from you.
