We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our busy medical practice. The ideal candidate must be professional, organized, able to multitask, and committed to providing excellent patient care. Responsibilities Greet patients and prepare them for examinations. Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medications, and reasons for visits. Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures. Perform EKGs, specimen collection, injections, and other permitted clinical duties. Prepare and maintain clean, properly stocked examination rooms. Accurately document information in the electronic medical record. Assist with prescription refill requests, referrals, and prior authorizations. Answer patient calls and communicate physician instructions as directed. Follow infection-control, HIPAA, and patient-safety requirements. Demonstrate initiative and complete responsibilities without continuous supervision. Work cooperatively with physicians, supervisors, and other team members. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a Medical Assistant program. Medical Assistant certification preferred. Current CPR/BLS certification preferred. Previous medical-office experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records. Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
