Medical Assistant — Interventional Pain Management West Pompano Spine & Joint Center About Us West Pompano Spine & Joint Center is an interventional pain management practice with offices in Pompano Beach and Boynton Beach. We help patients with spine and joint pain get back to their lives through image-guided procedures and conservative care. Our team is small, busy, and works closely together. What You'll Do Room patients, take vitals, document history and current medications, and prepare charts for the provider Set up and turn over the procedure suite for injections and image-guided procedures (epidurals, facet blocks, radiofrequency ablation, joint and trigger point injections) Assist the physician during procedures, including sterile prep, draping, and instrument handling Monitor patients post-procedure and review discharge instructions Maintain sterile technique, stock procedure trays, track medication and supply inventory, and log expiration dates Handle prior authorizations and pre-certifications for procedures and imaging, and follow up with insurers Collect and process specimens, including urine drug screens, per practice protocol Manage EMR documentation, referrals, imaging orders, and patient callbacks Support front-desk and scheduling coverage when needed What We're Looking For Medical Assistant certification (CCMA, RMA, CMA) or equivalent training and experience Current BLS/CPR certification Comfort with EMR charting and basic office software Strong attention to detail, especially with documentation and authorizations Professional, calm manner with patients who are in pain Reliable and punctual — procedure days run on a tight schedule Preferred Prior experience in pain management, orthopedics, spine, or an ambulatory surgery center Familiarity with fluoroscopy suite workflow and C-arm setup Experience with prior authorizations for interventional procedures Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Creole Ability to float between our Pompano Beach and Boynton Beach offices Schedule & Benefits [Monday-Friday .
