Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in patient care, administrative duties, and clinical procedures. This role involves working closely with medical professionals to ensure efficient operations within a busy medical office. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting with medical assisting tasks, managing electronic medical records (EMR/EHR), and providing wound care when necessary. Candidates should have prior medical office experience and a strong commitment to delivering compassionate patient care. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring smooth clinical operations. Manage and update electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) accurately and efficiently. Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure a clean and safe environment for patients. Take patient histories, record vital signs, and assist with documentation to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. Provide wound care as directed by healthcare providers, including dressing changes and minor wound management. Schedule appointments, answer patient inquiries, and handle administrative tasks related to patient flow. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and confidentiality standards. Support other clinical duties as needed to maintain an efficient healthcare setting. Qualifications Prior experience working in a medical office setting is required. Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems. Experience or training in wound care is preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Certification as a Medical Assistant is advantageous but not mandatory; relevant training or coursework will be considered.
