The ideal candidate will support clinical operations across various specialties, including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient clinics. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring smooth administrative support within a fast-paced medical environment. Experience in hospital settings, emergency medicine, or trauma centers is highly valued. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare services while maintaining compliance with medical standards and protocols. Responsibilities Greet and assist patients during intake processes, including collecting vital signs and updating medical histories Prepare examination rooms and assist providers during patient examinations and procedures Support physicians with medication administration, sample collection, and basic life support as needed Operate EHR systems efficiently for documentation of patient encounters, ICD coding, and medical records management Assist with diagnostic procedures such as X-ray imaging and other outpatient or inpatient tests Manage patient service tasks including scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, and coordinating follow-up care Support hospital medicine units, Geriatrics, PICU, OR procedures, or Level I/II trauma center activities depending on assignment Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and relevant clinical protocols to ensure accurate patient care Adhere to safety standards and infection control protocols in various clinical settings including emergency medicine environments Qualifications Certification or relevant training as a Medical Assistant required; experience in dermatology, internal medicine, or surgical settings preferred Knowledge of EHR systems and ICD coding for accurate documentation Experience working in hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or Level I/II trauma centers highly desirable Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration procedures Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications in emergency medicine or advanced life support are a plus Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with diverse patient populations Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments such as urgent care or emergency departments Prior experience with X-ray procedures or medical-surgical units is advantageous Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively Join our team to contribute to impactful healthcare delivery across multiple specialties while advancing your professional skills in a dynamic clinical setting.

$21.00 - $24.00 per hour
