Job Description
Medical Assistant (Clinical + Front Desk Cross-Coverage) As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing both clinical and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of our medical office. This role requires flexibility to assist with front desk responsibilities as needed, supporting both physicians and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care, organization, and communication. Our goal is to deliver high-quality, accurate, and timely care while maintaining an exceptional patient experience. Responsibilities Interview patients and document medical history accurately in the EMR Room patients, record vitals, and assist providers during examinations Prepare and clean treatment rooms and maintain medical instruments Coordinate and arrange laboratory services Update patient charts and ensure documentation is complete and current Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups Handle front desk responsibilities as needed, including check-in/check-out and patient communication Produce and distribute correspondence (memos, letters, forms, faxes) Maintain efficient patient flow and support overall clinic operations 4 day work week. Work out of LWR on Wednesday, rest in SCC. Skills & Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Assistant (preferred) Experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW) strongly preferred Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care workflows Strong front desk and patient-facing communication skills Excellent time management with the ability to multitask and prioritize High level of professionalism, empathy, and service orientation Strong organizational and planning skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems Medical Assistant certification or degree preferred Additional Requirements Willingness to cross-cover front desk responsibilities when needed Flexibility to travel between office locations, with preference for coverage in Venice if needed
