Job Description

About us We are a professional, long standing nephrology practice in Titusville, FL since 1989. We are looking for a cheerful, hard-working, and motivated medical assistant who is looking to help us continue to grow our practice. Responsibilities include checking vitals, checking in and rooming patients, verifying insurances prior to new patient visits, answering a multi-line phone system, doing prior authorizations for medications, occasional chart transcription, preparing patient charts and other medical documents, using the electronic medical record, and assisting with medication refills as well as various other office duties associated with a physician's office. The initial hours will be at least 6-7 hours per day with the ability to expand hours if mutually agreed upon by all parties. We're seeking a motivated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have medical experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Answer phone calls Perform Vitals Greet and room patients Fax patients' notes and results to referring doctors Obtain medical information from patients and update electronic medical record Conduct simple medical tests Assist with Prior Authorizations Provide basic health information and education to patients
