Job Description
Tri County Health with offices in Wildwood, FL and Summerfield, FL is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our growing team. If you are passionate about providing exceptional patient care and enjoy working in a fast-paced medical practice, we would love to hear from you! Position Summary The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting physicians and providers by delivering high-quality patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, and ensuring efficient daily operations within the practice. Essential Responsibilities Room and prepare patients for examinations and procedures. Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, medications, and allergies. Assist providers during examinations and in-office procedures. Perform EKGs, injections, venipuncture, specimen collection, and other clinical duties as permitted by certification and state regulations. Prepare and maintain examination rooms and clinical equipment. Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR). Coordinate prescription refills, referrals, and prior authorizations. Educate patients regarding medications, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions. Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality. Provide exceptional customer service while creating a positive patient experience. Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent certification required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Current BLS/CPR certification preferred. Minimum of one year of medical assistant experience preferred (cardiology experience is a plus). Experience with electronic medical records (EMR). Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
