About Direct Preventive Care Direct Preventive Care is a modern preventive medicine practice focused on proactive, personalized healthcare. Our mission is to help patients optimize their health through prevention, early detection, and lifestyle-focused medical care. We provide comprehensive preventive services including advanced screening, lifestyle counseling, and evidence-based medical care in a patient-centered environment. We are seeking a Medical Assistant who is comfortable both in the clinic and at the front desk , helping ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for our patients. Position Overview The Medical Assistant will support physicians with clinical care while also assisting with front office operations. This role requires someone who is organized, patient-focused, and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced but friendly environment. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys both hands-on patient care and administrative coordination. Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties Room patients and obtain vital signs Document medical histories and assist with chart preparation Assist physicians during examinations and procedures Perform basic clinical tasks such as: Blood draws (preferred) EKGs Injections Specimen collection Prepare and clean exam rooms Manage lab orders and specimen handling Coordinate preventive screenings and follow-up care Assist with patient education materials Front Desk Duties Greet and check in patients Schedule appointments and manage the clinic calendar Answer phone calls and patient inquiries Assist with patient registration and paperwork Coordinate referrals and outside testing Verify patient information and maintain accurate records Help maintain a welcoming patient experience Qualifications Required Medical Assistant certification or equivalent clinical experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer proficiency and EMR experience Ability to multitask and stay organized Preferred Experience in primary care, internal medicine, or preventive medicine Phlebotomy experience Experience working at a front desk or in patient coordination Familiarity with preventive health screenings Personal Qualities We Value Friendly and patient-focused Detail-oriented Proactive and dependable Team-oriented Interest in preventive and lifestyle medicine
