Qualifications :
High school or equivalent: (Preferred) EMR systems: Experience with
ATHENA BLS
Certification (Preferred) Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred) Administrative duties include scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records. Clinical duties include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, assisting with in-house procedures, performing injections, blood draws and administering medications as directed by physician. 1. Register new pateints. Checking in and checking out patients. Insurance verification 2. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean. 3. Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight and height 4. Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician Help physicians examine and treat patients, handing them instruments and materials or performing such tasks as giving injections, drawing blood for lab work or removing sutures 5. Record patients' medical history, vital statistics and information such as test results in electronic medical records system. 6. Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets and physicians' instructions to patients. 7.Familiar with Medical Terminology, EHR (ATHENA) 8. Must have reliable transportation, punctual and reliable 9. Must have knowledge with performing prior authorization with insurance companies if needed
