Preferred Qualifications UHC Minimum:
AHA Healthcare Provider BLS UHC Preferred:
- Successful completion of an appropriate training course.
- Related clinical experience in patient care.
- Experience with electronic practice management and health records required.
- Medical Assistant Certification Position Summary The Medical Assistant reports to the Clinic Manager and is primarily responsible for providing direct patient care support within scope of practice, including assisting clinicians and nurses, obtaining and documenting patient information, and ensuring safe, efficient clinic operations.
- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and effectively use electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and support efficient patient flow.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to accurately obtain, document, and communicate patient information with attention to detail.
