Beltline Health is looking for a dependable, people-oriented Medical Assistant who enjoys helping patients and takes pride in being organized, accurate, and thorough. This is a great role for someone who wants the best of both worlds: hands-on patient care and administrative coordination. You'll spend your day interacting with patients and assisting providers while also helping manage the important behind-the-scenes details that keep patient care moving. The ideal candidate enjoys variety while appreciating clear processes and expectations. You're comfortable taking ownership of your responsibilities, following through, and picking up the phone to call a patient, pharmacy, insurance company, or medical office when that's the best way to get something resolved. Prior authorization experience is preferred. Phlebotomy experience is a big plus. What You'll Do Clinical & Patient Care Room patients and obtain vital signs, weights, medical histories, and medication information Assist with pre-operative preparation and post-operative care of bariatric patients Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and other testing within training and scope Assist providers with minor in-office procedures Provide patient education and reinforce nutrition, lifestyle, and care recommendations Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked exam rooms Administrative & Care Coordination Assist with prior authorizations, insurance requirements, surgical clearances, labs, and required documentation Maintain accurate and complete patient records Follow up on outstanding patient needs and requirements Communicate with patients, pharmacies, insurance companies, and outside medical offices by phone and electronic communication Manage patient messages and tasks accurately and within expected timeframes Help identify and resolve issues that could delay patient care Who We're Looking For You'll likely thrive in this role if you: Genuinely enjoy working with and helping patients Are organized, systematic, and detail-oriented Like a balance of clinical and administrative responsibilities Communicate confidently and professionally, including over the phone Take ownership of your work and follow tasks through to completion Appreciate structure, clear expectations, and established processes Work well independently while being comfortable asking for guidance when needed Enjoy being part of a collaborative team where everyone pitches in Schedule & Compensation Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM-4:00 PM, with a lunch break Competitive pay based on experience.
