Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an experienced bilingual OB/GYN Medical Assistant. In this vital role, you will serve as a compassionate liaison between patients and providers, ensuring smooth clinic operations and delivering exceptional patient care. Your bilingual skills will help bridge language barriers, creating a welcoming environment for diverse patient populations. This position requires 1-2 years of ob/gyn experience. Responsibilities Greet and assist patients in both English and Spanish, providing clear instructions and compassionate support throughout their visit Perform intake procedures, including collecting medical histories, recording vital signs, and updating patient information in electronic health record (EHR) systems Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and understanding Assist OB/GYN providers during exams, procedures, and minor surgeries in an outpatient setting Manage clinical documentation with accuracy, may include ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases) and medication administration records Perform POC tests, support laboratory tasks, and basic diagnostic tests and procedures under supervision Maintain and stock clinical supplies, sterilize equipment, and ensure the cleanliness of exam rooms to uphold safety standards Requirements Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is essential for effective communication with diverse patient populations Prior experience in an OB/GYN office Knowledge of medical terminology Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and ICD coding is necessary for accurate documentation Strong patient service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and empathetically Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs measurement, intake processing, medication administration, and assisting with ultrasound procedures if needed Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently Team player This role offers an exciting chance to make a meaningful impact on women's health.
