Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and updating electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies are stocked and sanitized for each patient visit Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) procedures in accordance with safety protocols Support physicians with procedures in various specialties including dermatology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, and geriatrics Manage medical documentation accurately, including ICD coding, medical records management, and detailed notes in EMR/EHR systems Conduct patient education on medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance strategies Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure clear understanding of care instructions and follow-up needs Experience Proven medical office experience supporting outpatient or inpatient care environments Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding standards Experience working in specialized settings such as trauma centers (Level I or II), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or OR environments is highly desirable Background in hospital medicine or urgent care settings demonstrating ability to handle fast-paced clinical situations Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus Knowledge of medical assisting procedures across various disciplines including dermatology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, geriatrics, and hospital-based care Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding patient service through energetic support and expert clinical care.
