Pediatrics experience is a plus. Medical Assistant will work directly with healthcare practice staff to prepare exam rooms, including restocking of treatment areas. Greet patients and prepare them for provider examinations. Screen patients for necessary information, vital signs, growth measurements; collect test samples; administer immunizations, maintain patient records, knowledge of using EMR (electronic medical record); explain common medical procedures to patients and assist in basic examinations. MA is also expected to perform general nursing care for patients, including administering medications and treatments.
