Medical Assistant US Heart & Vascular - 3.3 Johns Creek, GA Job Details Part-time 19 hours ago Qualifications Electronic health records (EHR) management Medical office experience Medical terminology Full Job Description US Heart and Vascular is needing a Part-time Medical Assistant/Stress Tech Assistant to join our team at NSC Cardiology in Johns Creek GA.
Position Summary:
This position performs treadmill testing in a variety of modalities including exercise treadmill, and nuclear stress testing.
Responsibilities:
Explains testing accurately and in detail to patients in order to ensure understanding and patient consent. Uses critical thinking to evaluate order accuracy and the need to initiate order change requests with the ordering or supervising physician as needed. Monitors patients for physiologic symptoms during testing and reports to supervising physician as needed. Accurately enters data into eClinicalWorks EHR for stress testing within 95% of overall accuracy. Maintains supply inventory and crash cart equipment in treadmill rooms. Checks crash cart, defibrillator Closely monitor the week's schedule. Provides information, services, and assistance to patients Verifies patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit. Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, drawing labs, weight, and temperature; and reporting patient history summary. Helps Physician with office procedures Counsels' patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions about surgery. Schedules surgeries by making arrangements with the surgical center; verifying times with patients; and preparing charts and pre-admission and consent forms Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, informing Crystal of items needing to be ordered Calls patients with lab and test results. Sends in prescriptions as ordered Check out patients and schedules all tests / physician orders as ordered All other duties as mutually defined by Dr Singh.
Requirements:
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) is preferred but not required Bachelor's degree preferred but not required Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office Previous experience in cardiology preferred.
