Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant Trainee, where your energy and dedication will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will be trained to provide comprehensive support to healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks that ensure smooth operations. Your extensive training in medical procedures, patient interaction, and office management will help create a welcoming environment for patients while maintaining the highest standards of medical accuracy and confidentiality. Duties Will train to:
assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories, vital signs, and performing basic physical assessments. Prepare examination rooms, and ensure all medical supplies are stocked and organized for daily use. Perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration, and basic wound care under supervision. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters, diagnoses (ICD coding), and treatment plans. Support patient service activities by answering questions, scheduling appointments, and coordinating follow-up care. Handle administrative tasks including medical records management, insurance verification, and processing referrals. Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations by adhering to safety protocols, infection control standards, and confidentiality policies. Experience No experience required. MUST be a fast learner and fluent in Spanish and English STRONG communication and computer skills are required Prior experience in medical office settings with proficiency in medical assisting, administrative support, or related roles preferred Hands-on experience with EHR systems (Electronic Health Records) and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) management preferred but will train Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and ICD coding for accurate documentation is preferred but will train Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is required; additional certifications like phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients. Pay:
$14.25 - $14.85 per hour Expected hours: No more than 20.0 per week
