Job Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant provides patient care in a primary/family care practice. Responsible for assisting physicians, nurse practitioner, and management with all clinical, clerical, and organizational tasks revolving around patient care. In this role, the certified medical assistant will serve patients of all ages including children, adolescents, and adults. Conveys a positive image of the practice. Essential Functions Duties included but not limited to: Back office Duties Interview patients, measures vital signs and records patient information in electronic medical records system (eClinicalWorks) Prepares exam rooms for patients, and setup and assist with instruments and equipment Clean and sterilize instruments and exam rooms Inspect patient rooms for cleanliness, comfort, and sanitary conditions Give injections or treatment as ordered by medical provider, draws blood, Prepare IV solution, performs EKG, spirometry and or other similar office procedures Perform routine diagnostic laboratory tests Enter data into electronic medical records (EMR) Call in, fax prescribed medications Inventory and stock medical supplies and materials Adhere to all standards of care, Code of Conduct, and HIPAA Compliance Any other duties and/or special projects as assigned. Front Desk Duties Greeting patients, Answer phones in professional, and polite manner Sign patients in ,Check patients in and out Collects appropriate payments/balances at front desk. Scan and uploads all patient documents into the patient's chart on EMR. Copying & faxing Excellent customer service in office and on phone that provides an excellent patient experience
Qualifications Required:
High School graduate or equivalent education Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program. Certified Medical Assistant Certification (Preferred)
