The Neurosurgical & Spine Institute of Savannah's Brain & Spine Imaging Center is looking for a positive and experienced Medical Assistant to assist our team in providing compassionate care to our patients and their families. This role supports our imaging patients by coordinating on effective patient coordination and exceptional care for CT and MRI patients. Daily Tasks May Include:

Conducting patient screenings via phone and in person, including MRI/CT safety questionnaires and preparation instructions. Coordinating patient flow following check-in to ensure efficient throughput and on-time imaging services. Assisting technologists with preparing patients for imaging procedures, including positioning support and education. Assisting with or perform contrast administration duties (per training, licensure, and protocol). Uploading, retrieving, and managing imaging studies, including PACS integration and PowerShare or equivalent platforms for neuroradiology review. Ensuring all imaging studies are properly routed and available for interpretation by neuro-radiologists. Scheduling imaging studies and coordinate appointments based on clinical urgency and provider directives. Obtaining and inserting pre-authorizations for imaging exams, as needed. Communicating with referring providers, clinical staff, and patients to resolve scheduling or authorization issues.

Skills/Requirements:

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program OR current Medical Assistant certification Three (3) years of previous medical office experience, required One (1) year of previous experience in an imaging setting, preferred Strong verbal communication skills Comfortable working within multiple software systems including

EHR, PM, PACS and Microsoft Office About Us:
