Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support clinical operations across the obstetrics and gynecology specialty, including surgical procedures, all in an office setting. Your expertise will help ensure smooth clinic workflows, accurate medical documentation, and a positive patient experience. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring all steps are performed efficiently and accurately. Collect blood samples, perform basic life support (BLS) and CPR when necessary, and handle manual handling tasks with safety and precision. Manage electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring all medical documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with privacy standards. Conduct health education sessions for patients on topics such as post-operative care, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications. Report patient conditions clearly to the healthcare team, documenting vital signs, symptoms, and other relevant information for ongoing care. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control standards; handle medical supplies and equipment with manual handling expertise. Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their questions or concerns with empathy and professionalism to enhance patient service experience. Qualifications Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required. Prior experience in critical care or acute care environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing practices, and medical documentation standards is essential. Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems management and blood sampling techniques. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is mandatory; additional certifications related to plastic surgery or surgery are advantageous. Experience working in clinics specializing in surgical procedures or diagnostic radiology enhances your fit for this role.
