Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Provide compassionate patient service by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support procedures in accordance with safety protocols. Manage medical documentation accurately, including recording patient information, updating medical records, and coding diagnoses with ICD (International Classification of Diseases) codes. Support medical office management by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining organized medical records. Conduct assessments of physiology and anatomy to assist in diagnosis preparation and treatment planning. Collaborate with hospital teams on inpatient or outpatient care, including Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center experiences when applicable. Qualifications Bilingual proficiency in English and another language is required to facilitate effective communication with diverse patient populations. Prior experience in medical office settings or healthcare environments such as dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, or internal medicine is highly preferred. Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records efficiently. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required; additional certifications such as Phlebotomy or Pharmacology are a plus. Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration enhances your ability to provide comprehensive support. Experience working in inpatient settings or Level I/II Trauma Centers adds valuable insight into emergency medicine workflows. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in medical documentation and records management.
