We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and experienced Medical Assistant to join our primary care team in Waycross, GA . The ideal candidate is organized, professional, patient-focused, and able to work effectively in a busy medical office environment. Position Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs, medication history, and chief complaint Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Assist providers with routine examinations and in-office procedures Perform injections, immunizations, and other clinical duties as permitted by training and scope of practice Collect and prepare laboratory specimens Perform EKGs and other basic clinical testing as needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record Review and reconcile medications and allergies Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and other clinical paperwork Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients as directed Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked examination rooms Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection-control, and other applicable policies Provide exceptional customer service and treat every patient with professionalism and respect Perform other clinical and administrative duties as needed Qualifications Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred Medical Assistant certification preferred but not necessarily required depending on experience High school diploma or equivalent Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office Professional appearance and positive attitude Reliable attendance and strong work ethic EMR experience preferred What We Offer Full-time position 32 - 40 hours per week Stable Monday-Friday work schedule Paid time off Supportive and team-oriented work environment Opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients and coworkers The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is friendly, dependable, hardworking, and genuinely enjoys taking care of patients .
