Job Description
Medical Assistant - Full Time Must live on Maui We are a growing medical spa on the island of Maui looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to join our team. This is a great fit for someone who wants more than just a job. We're looking for a Medical Assistant who wants long-term stability , room to grow and develop , and a real career in aesthetics and wellness . You should be reliable, professional, and excited to learn and take on more over time. You'll play a key role in both clinical care and front-line patient support, helping us deliver an excellent experience at every visit. Responsibilities Assist providers with patient care and in-room support. Verify patient information and record medical history. Confirm the purpose of each visit using an iPad. Enter data into the EMR during patient visits. Prepare patients for exams and procedures. Prepare and sterilize equipment and instruments. Educate patients on pre- and post-treatment care instructions. Clean and sanitize rooms, equipment, and instruments as needed. Maintain clinical inventory and supplies. Answer triage and routine phone calls from patients, pharmacies, and referring providers. Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Use EMR and other computer programs efficiently, including Microsoft Office and standard web browsers. Qualifications Graduate of a Medical Assisting program. Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or equivalent). Strong computer and customer service skills. Solid spelling and grammar. Reliable transportation. High attention to detail and ability to support multiple areas of the practice. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy preferred. Able to understand and follow policies, procedures, and protocols. Professional, friendly communication with patients, providers, supervisors, and peers. Able to remain calm and effective in urgent or stressful situations. Experience or interest in cosmetic dermatology preferred. Knowledge of rheumatology treatments and diagnoses is a plus. Available to work weekdays and weekends with rotating shifts.
